I was born in a Jewish Family. We went to synagogue weekly. As a child, I questioned the existence of God. At age 5, my mother recorded my question. “ If God makes babies then why do we have to die and go to heaven"? This question troubled me many years until I received Yeshua as my Lord. I had a great fear of dying, not the dying, but the questions, where will I be after I die? What was I before I was born? Will I be nothing and totally forgotten? What is my purpose here on earth? When I was young child, I wrote a prayer that I would have answers to these questions before I die.  I wrote my prayer inside a seashell.

I wanted to know if God exists and the meaning of life. I continued searching. I even asked my Rabbi if Yeshua (Jesus) can be the Messiah. He said no. I was left empty and cried. I went through College. I studied Graphic art. All of my world and work was in darkness as I had become very depressed. Life seemed to be meaningless. I was lost. This is when a young man told me about Yeshua. I prayed a few weeks later and was cleansed of all my sin, and shame as before I had felt so dirty. I went home that night, turning in my bed thanking God. My family were very upset and tried to change my mind. In time they saw my life change. I tried for a few weeks to hide the fact that I was Jewish when I entered the gentile church that I started to attend. I thought they would not accept me there. Then I understood as the pastor of that church explained to me that Yeshua is Jewish too and that it is the most natural thing that I, a Jew would accept my Jewish Messiah. The One my people have waited so long for. (Isaiah 53) The answer to my childhood prayers. “You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all of your heart". (Jeremiah 29:13) The Lord is forever faithful to us. “For you will light my lamp, the Lord my God will enlighten my darkness". (Psalm 18:28).   He made me a new creation, gave me a new heart and a new mind! (Jeremiah 31:31-34) I have known Yeshua for many years now. God is faithful and has blessed me and my family. My mother eventually received Yeshua as the Lord.

I made "aliyah", or moved to live in Israel in 1987 under Israel's law of The right of return for all Jewish people

I prayed that God would use my talent as an artist for His glory, and turn the old style of darkness in my art to artwork that would bring light and joy to others. To touch the hearts of people and turn them back to God. My vision is to remind the Jewish people of their God through my colorful greeting cards and art. And to encourage those who already put their trust in God the Jew and Gentile. I now have a greeting card company. In my Biblical Pop-Out Cards and Mosaic designs the observer can partake in the living word. I try to use the biblical colors God instructed for the Tabernacle, and images I see when I read the scriptures. They pop-out so the observer can partake in the living word, and the Land of The Bible. I also have a new series, large prints and cards with Mosaic Names. Names that God calls us such as His beloved, and Apple of His eye. Also many names that express who God is towards us such as Everlasting father, Faithful God, Our Salvation.

 Forever in Yeshua,  Amy Sheetreet
